Articial Elements

This one i added on stars using noise filters and gradients.
I found this very hard to make look realistic, I thought adding in a moon with a glow would help but not really. I also took out a pole to minimize distractions.

This one i added in fog and light rays, i used a white solid colour with different opacity and gradients to achieve this effect. I think i have over done it a little bit but it makes everything else a bit less distracting. I then added in light rays on the head lights using sections and solid colours. I then masked it a bit it make it less harsh

Retouching Assignment

This one was very hard because it wasn't shot very well with bad lighting etc. I fixed up some of the areas blowing out etc.

I first did the usual spotting out pimples etc then smoothed the skin but just painting in with a low opacity.

I spent most my time fixing the hair with the clone tool fixing fly aways, shape and lighting.

I aslo change the eye colour a little bit and brightened them a little bit.

I then lastly de saturated the image and made a bit of a spot light and vignette in the background to make it look like a used more lights on the background.

This was an old photo i took about 2 years ago on a day trip to the coast.

This one has alot of work done to it as it was shot in natural light with no lights so i had many shadows to fix. There was also alot of skin to fix but because it isn't a close up it was quite easy.

I first again did the spotting and then softened the skin by painting in.
I softened the skin on the whole body (face, chest and hands)

I then Fixed her hair using the clone tool to pull out the fly aways and fix un even hairs where possible

I also brightened the whole hair to make it look thicker.

I then did not like the shadow of the hair under the eyes as it looked like running makeup so i got rid of that using painting. Then it looked like she was squinting to much so brightened the eyes.

I then softened the shadow on the chin to make it look a bit more realistic.

Then darkened the sky to imitate a polarising filter and also in the refection in the water to make the same blue.

I then softened the shirt crinkles a little to make her look a bit thiner.
